Mountain Creek celebrates Earth Day

Mountain Creek employees headed outside to clean up the mountain for Earth Day on Friday, April 22.
More than 50 employees picked up garbage across all areas of the resort from the north lodge down to south.
“I believe the greatest asset we have is the great mountain and outdoor lifestyle on Hamburg Mountain," said Bill Benneyan, preident of Mountain Creek. "Earth Day is an annual post-winter rite when we close the offices and every employee spends the day collecting all the refuse that finds it’s way into the nooks and crannies of the woods and trails that so many people ski, bike, and hike on every day. It’s an exhausting but uplifting reminder of how fortunate we are to live and work here, and of our responsibility to keep the environment heathy and attractive so that others & future generations will have the same benefit. We were especially proud today that one of our 8-year-old local snowboarders, L.J., brought his team from Powe Snowboards and was part of the effort representing that next generation of good people who will grow up to manage and play in the outdoors."
