Don't elect Gorman for freeholder

I read Kathleen Gorman's article announcing that she is a candidate for Sussex County Freeholder.
With all of the current problems, we need freeholders, who can think clearly and who can make intelligent decisions; in my opinion, that does not describe Kathy Gorman.
Kathy wrote: "I have a proven record of fighting to right those wrongs in my community." Since I have known Kathy she has basically had only one concern, her personal vendetta against the Friends of Lake Neepaulin (FOLN), not without good reasons, with basically no concern for any of the many other major issues confronting Wantage or for the rest of us Wantage residents and taxpayers.
Kathy has stated that she spent about $15,000 suing Wantage over her alleged assessment for the repair of the then privately owned Lake Neepaulin Dam, but she hadn't been assessed yet. Assignment Judge Thomas Weisenbeck dismissed Kathy's suit without prejudice basically because she hadn't been assessed yet. It should be noted that David Gray was the attorney representing Kathy in this apparently premature lawsuit. What did this cost us Wantage taxpayers?
When the Wantage Committee breached its contract with the FOLN (the Co-Borrower Agreement) and violated a Consent Judgment signed by Assignment Judge Theodore Bozonelis, Kathy thanked them.
When the Wantage Committee took ownership of Lake Neepaulin, Kathy seconded another woman who thanked the Committee. Now us Wantage taxpayers are being taxed to pay the entire $1,200,000 for the repair of what was a privately owned dam, plus we will be taxed to pay for the lake for the rest of our lives, or until we are taxed out of Wantage. But we had been promised: "there would be no out-of-pocket costs to either the township or other taxpayers."
Under the Co-Borrower Agreement Kathy was to pay an assessment of $499.54 over 20 years. Now, after supposedly spending about $15,000, Kathy will pay about $194 in taxes over 17 years. But Kathy "won", because the FOLN no longer owns the lake.
Under the Co-Borrower Agreement, Tom Jable, the FOLN's chairman of the board who owns a lakefront property right by the dam, agreed to pay two (2) $8,750.89 assessments, that's $17,501.78 (not deductible), plus his share of the FOLN' s over $121,000 assessment, now only has to pay about $202 in taxes over 17 years. That's a savings of well over $20,000 for Tom Jable. But Kathy "won", because the FOLN no longer owns the lake. Obviously, us Wantage taxpayers lost big time, $1.2 million plus. Now Kathy is complaining about Sussex County spending half-a-million dollars?
Kathy apparently does have one major accomplishment that she can rightfully claim, she convinced the Wantage Committee to remove a few Lake Neepaulin signs, but the lake is still there.
Kathy did not like Ron Bassani, but when Ron ran for office, Kathy signed his petition. Then, when she thought about what she had done, Kathy worked with the Sussex County Clerk's Office to have her name legally removed from Ron's petition. Did they sign each other's petitions this election?
Please, if you want good government, don't vote for Kathy Gorman. And, if you live in Wantage, please don't re-elect Ron Bassani.
