    The Vernon Township GAAC (Greenway Action Advisory Committee) made its EarthFest debut on Sunday. Headed by Mike Furrey, shown from the left are former Vernon Environmental Commission member Craig Williams, Vernon Mayor Harry Shortway, former mayor Sally Rinker, and Shannon Geiger-Rinker.

VERNON — EarthFest 2016 was once again held at Heaven Hill Farm on Route 94 on Sunday.
It was the 16th such annual festival and was organized by Vernon Chamber Charities and the Vernon EarthFest Committee.
The hundreds of people who attended from Vernon and neighboring communities came out a fairly-warm day for the five-hour Earth Day celebration.
Events scheduled for the greenhouse included Snakes-N-Scales, Wallaby Tales, and Delaware Valley Raptors. Hayrides through the fields were also a popular attraction.
