Bonnie Mae (Langen) Meaney, age 66, of Battle Creek, Mich., and formerly of Hamburg, N.J., died Friday, April 8, 2016, at Bronson Methodist Hospital, Kalamazoo. She was born in Battle Creek on April 15, 1949, the loving daughter of Albert A. and Bettie L. (Jackson) Langen and graduated from Lakeview High School with the Class of 1968. Bonnie lived in both Battle Creek and also lived in New Jersey for 34 years.
Bonnie is survived by her children, Heather LeBlanc of Battle Creek, Jason Meaney, Patrick Meaney, both of Hamburg, N.J.; and two grandchildren, Nadia and Zaria VanNortwick. She was sadly preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Dennis Langen.
Bonnie was a very hardworking person, devoting most of her work to the retail environment, working proudly at K-Mart and Walmart. She was a truly dedicated mother and grandmother. Bonnie loved her family dearly and truly enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Bonnie also enjoyed shopping, gardening & flowers, baking, and cooking along with reading cookbooks and watching cooking shows on TV. She also loved and was very kind to animals, and had a particular love for Dachshunds, especially for Dexter.
At Bonnie's request, cremation has taken place and a Memorial Mass to celebrate her life was held Monday, April 18, 2016, at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Battle Creek, Mich.
