ZDC wins big at talent competition

VERNON — Ziegler Dance Centre’s Z Dance Troupe from McAfee, recently attended Dance Xplosion Talent Competition at Vo-Tech. The Z Dance Troupe danced from ballet to hip hop, lyrical to musical theatre and everything inbetween.
There were over 35 ZDC dances that placed 1st in their category for their division as well as some dances received special recognition from the judge’s with a “Judge’s Special Award”.
There were over 50 ZDC dances that placed in the Top 10 Overall in their divisions.
ZDC was honored with a Studio Excellence Award in Musical Theatre.
Junior character tap large group “Trashin’ the Camp” won age division 12-and-under Most Entertaining.
Junior Small Group Jazz “9 to 5” won 1st overall and the “Xcaliber Award” for Highest scoring group dance in the 12 and under division.
Hip Hop Large Group “Men In Black” won 1st overall in the Junior extreme division.
Hip Hop large group “School’s Out” won 1st overall in the Petite accelerated division.
Soloist Kyleigh Doyle, Vernon, won 1st overall with her lyrical dance “Fly with Me” in the accelerated division.
Soloist Sydney Bosma, Vernon, won 1st Overall and Junior Miss Dance Xplosion with her lyrical dance “When You Look at Me” in the all extreme division.
Reese Decker, Hamburg, won Junior Mr. Dance Xplosion for open solo “If I Had You” in the extreme division.
Senior Jazz large Group “Man with a Hex” won 1st Overall for the extreme division.
“We Both Reached” Senior Line Musical Theatre won 1st Overall for the extreme division.
Matthew Losco, Vernon, won 1st Overall for Senior Soloists as well as Mr. Dance Xplosion for his jazz “Up A Lazy River.”
Emily Moreno, Vernon, and Matthew Losco performed their musical theatre duet “I Think I Got You Beat” in the senior age level and won 1st Overall in the extreme division.
