FRANKLIN POLICE DEPT.

Alan Mackerley, 49, of Sparta was charged with driving while intoxicated and Jessica Cillaroto, 24, of Newton was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, specifically, crack cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Police said they were dispatched at about 4 p.m. to a reported suspicious condition on Konnor Drive in Hillside Estates in the borough. Police said the complainant reported a vehicle was parked and idling, with two unknown occupants for a long period of time. An officer responded and conducted a motor vehicle stop with the vehicle described.
Mackerley was released pending an appearance in Franklin Municipal Court. Cillaroto was released pending a Superior Court appearance.
The complaints that were filed are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. The charges may be presented to a grand jury for potential indictment.
