Irene C. Slate

Irene C. Slate, 69, died Tuesday April 12, 2016, at Newton Medical Center. Mrs. Slate, daughter of the late John and Sadie (Bross) Clark was born in Franklin Nov. 22, 1946. She grew up in Hamburg and has resided in Wantage Twp. for most of her life.
Mrs. Slate was a cashier at Rite Aid in Newton for the past 18 years.
She was predeceased by 2 sons, James and Donald Slate and a grandson Gavin. Mrs. Slate is survived by her husband Donald H. Slate; children, Donna Repasch and her husband, Mike, of Wantage and David Slate and Tracey of Franklin; her “hand picked children”, Mark Schneider and his wife, Linda, of Virginia and Kathy Recchio and her husband, Phil, of Wantage; grandchildren, Michael and Donald Repasch and Sebastian, David, Jared & Rylee Slate as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Monday, April 18, 2016, 10 a.m. at F. John Ramsey Funeral Home, One Main St. Franklin. Interment will follow at North Hardyston Cemetery.
