The Kosa Veteran Support Center is now officially open

“The Kosa Veteran Support Center,” sponsored by Catholic Family & Community Services, officially opened its doors to area veterans and their families on Wednesday, April 6.
The center is located at 48 Wyker Road in Franklin.
The center is named for Sussex County resident Ernie Kosa who was away and not able to attend the opening. Kosa is a retired Army chaplain who served in both the Korean War and the Vietnam War. Kosa, a staple of the annual Salute to Military Veterans at the Sussex County Fairgrounds, retired from the Army as a lieutenant colonel.
The purpose of the center is to provide a safe place for veterans to access support and resources and have a chance to talk to one another and build community relations. It also gives veterans a place to advocate for veterans needs and work in partnership with Catholic Family and Community Services to meet those needs.
