Tony Darrow of the Soprano’s, Goodfella’s and Analyze This, will perform his one-man show at Milano Restaurante on April 18.
What's his connection to the restaurant? A Thanksgiving dinner.
"He came in to Milano's for Thanksgiving Dinner and me the owner and just loved the place," said Susan Cutter, who has been the restaurant's manager for the past 11 years. "He fell in love with the food, atmosphere and our friendly staff and asked to meet with the owner, Tony Asani, to talk about performing here. We've never done anything like that before, but it sounded great so we came up with a date, put together a menu that was apropos of the Italian roles he's played and everyone is excited about it."
Cost is $90 per person for the event and includes the show, the specially-prepared menu and gratuities. The evening's fare includes a house salad, choice of Chicken Del LaCasa, Veal Stella di mare or Pork Osso Bucca, Italian pastries and cookies and coffee and tea. Guests are welcome to bring their own alcoholic beverages.
Actor Tony Darrow played the role of Sonny Bunz in Martin Scorcese's highly acclaimed movie, "Goodfellas". Having grown up in the East New York section of Brooklyn, a neighborhood known for its tough guys, and wise guys, his background stood him in perfect stead to play a gangster in the black comedy about the mafia. He's had many roles over the years and puts on an exceptionally entertaining comedy act.
