OAK RIDGE — Jefferson pitcher Alexa Pettit threw a five-inning no-hitter, as the Falcons beat the Newton Braves, 11-0 on Friday, April 1.
While Pettit was throwing heat from the pitchers mound her fellow Falcons were hot swinging the bat. Jefferson's hit parade was powered by Katie DeBell who finished 3-for-3 with a triple and one RBI in the victory. Also Carly Wurster went 2-for-3 with a double and three RBI and Dianna Gatto was 2-for-2 with a double and three RBI for Jefferson (1-0).
Newton fell to 0-1.
