VERNON — On Tuesday, Feb. 2, with a warm afternoon, the 2016 Special Olympics Winter Games were in full swing at Mountain Creek.
With a near 100 percent chance of rain on Wednesday, the majority of the races were instead compressed into a one-day event.
Helping to make the day a success, many active, as well as retired members of nearby law enforcement agencies once again volunteered.
The largest delegations were from the Newton (Sussex County) and Park Ridge (Bergen County) police departments.
