Jefferson Township Day turns 30

| 03 Feb 2016 | 12:57

The 30th anniversary of the Jefferson Township Day will be celebrated on Saturday, July 9.

As in the past, the event will be cited at the Jefferson Township High School fields, 1010 Weldon Road, Milton/Oak Ridge starting off with an old fashioned township parade.

The Jefferson Arts Committee is seeking ideas and suggestions from the public as to what they might want to see at this event — new demonstrations, new entertainment, new displays, new vendors, new games, etc.

So far, the Jefferson Township Community Concert Band and the Jefferson Township Jazz Band will perform in an evening concert on the main stage at 7 p.m before the huge fireworks display. The Community Band and its Director Peter Tummillo are celebrating their 25th anniversary this year.

If you would like to share your ideas — and perhaps also volunteer to help execute them — contact the committee through their Facebook page (Jefferson Arts Committee), via email to artscommittee@jeffersonarts.org, via mail to Jefferson Arts Committee, PO Box 2604, Oak Ridge, NJ 07438, or by calling Carol at 973-697-3828 or John at 973-697-2032.
