FRANKLIN — Second-grade students at Franklin Borough School studied various fables such as "Wolf! Wolf!" by John Rocco.

They immediately became intrigued by the Chinese illustrations and identified the origin of clothing, hairstyles, and parasols. Students were shown a Chinese bean sculpture. They brainstormed ideas and used chopsticks to gather beans and construct one of their own. Students wrote descriptions of their sculptures.
