Music at the Mission's monthly showcase and open mic is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 6, beginning at 7:30 p.m.

The Music at the Mission showcase highlights three talented acts. This month's featured artists are Loretta Hagen, Carolann Solebello and Chasing June. They will perform from 7:30 to 9 p.m. in a "showcase in the round" format.

Hagen, of West Milford, delivers rich alto vocals, polished award winning lyrics and tightly woven harmonies; the hallmark of her musical career. A 2013 JAM Awards "Top Female Songwriter of the Year", NJ Folk Festival Songwriter Competition Winner, and CT Folk Festival finalist, Hagen recently released her third CD, "Mud and Stone," featuring uplifting heartfelt ballads, playful up-tempo country swing, and cool bluesy grooves.

A founding member of celebrated trio Red Molly, Solebello went solo in August 2010. Her 2013 CD, Steel and Salt, peaked at #9 on the Folk DJ Chart. Carolann won the 2011 Susquehanna Music and Arts Festival Songwriting Competition, placed third in the 2014 SolarFest Songwriting Competition, and was a 2012 Official Showcase Artist at both the FAI and NERFA conferences.

Chasing June is the indie folk collaboration of singers and songwriters, Judy Aron and Steve Coleman. Their co-written, harmony-filled songs, and spirited up tempo live performances, have been earning the duo spots on radio and in venues throughout the northeast region since 2010.

Then it's time for the best open mic outside of New York City. Musicians from throughout the tri-state area come to perform to a true listening audience. Refreshments are available.

Admission is $7. Performers for the open mic may reserve their space online ahead of time for $10.
