Lily May Hotchkiss

    Lily May Hotchkiss 94, of Ogdensburg passed away on Jan. 18, 2016 surrounded by her loving family.

    She was born in Hastings, Michigan and because her husband was in the US Army she lived in many places. She lived in Alabama for 30 years prior to moving to Ogdensburg 15 years ago. As a youth she ran away and joined the Barnham and Baily Circus as a tight rope walker. At one time she was co-owner of a restaurant in Hastings, Michigan with a friend. She worked for many years as an in home nurse.

    Lily was a lifetime member of the VFW and American Legion and loved to crochet and do needlepoint. She is predeceased by her beloved husband Richard Jack Hotchkiss, son, James Neal Hotchkiss, and sisters: Abby Carpenter, Waneta Russell and Beaulah Hobert.

    Lily is survived by her devoted daughter Olga Lanemann and her husband Raymond of Ogdensburg; grandmother of Corina Lynn Lepera and her husband Jason; James Neal Hotchkiss and Christopher Alan Hotchkiss and great grandmother of Philip Logan Lepera, Collin Lepera, Emily Hotchkiss and Donald Hotchkiss.
