A contingent of Boy Scout Franklin Troop 90 went on a day trip to NYC to visit the 911 Memorial Museum at Ground Zero.

The scouts parked in Jersey City and took the PATH train across to the World Trade Center station, where the entrance to the Museum was.

During the visit, the scouts went to the auditorium and watched a short video of the events that transpired during the infamous day. Afterward, the scouts and families were free to roam freely through the museum. There also was a video on the lower level of the museum describing the events relating to the demise of Flight 93 in Shanksville, Pa.

The exhibits on the first level below grade showed the damage to the infrastructure. The next level below had exhibits on the emergency workers and the damage/injuries they sustained. Various

video screens were located through both levels where different accounts of individuals could be seen.

There also was a separate museum on the lower level that provided a detailed account of the equipment used by emergency workers, the effects and how families dealt with the events, as well as the national and worldwide support in the efforts to recover.

Additionally, on the lower level was a detailed account of how the terrorists reacted to the U.S. day of suffering, as well as how the U.S. tracked down the terrorists responsible for these actions.
