SPARTA — High Point Regional High School defeated Sparta High School, 52-38, in girls varsity basketball on Saturday, Jan. 16.
Margo Peterson scored a game-high 22 points and Maddy Smith added 21 points to help High Point secure the win.
Paige Smith scored 12 points while Beth Laing contributed nine points for Sparta. Team records: High Point Lady Wildcats 10-1, Sparta Lady Spartans 2-7.
