Ice sculptures coming to Skylands Stadium

As an encore to their “Dazzling Christmas Light Show” Skylands Stadium is now creating “Frozen in Ice.”

On Monday, sculptors from Pennsylvania-based Sculpted Ice Works were busy trying to complete the stadium’s first-ever ice sculpture extravaganza, which will run for 19 days starting on Friday, Feb. 5.

The indoor/outdoor event includes 100 tons of ice-sculpted displays, including a huge 50-foot-long ice tandem slide. Additional features include a log cabin, a giant-sized throne, a horse-drawn carriage, a gold mine maze, and much more.

The show will include an ice bar and wine tasting for adults, as well as hot chocolate, coffee and hot food for the entire family. There will also be live ice-carving demonstrations, snowman building and wagon rides.

The show will be open Wednesdays through Sundays, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., from Feb. 5 through Feb. 28 plus Presidents’ Day, Monday, Feb. 15. from 11 a.m.–8 p.m. Skylands Stadium is located at 94 Championship Place, Augusta, NJ, 07822.
