Youth football all-stars take the field

WEST MILFORD — The North Jersey Youth Football League All-Star games took place Saturday, Dec. 5.

Some of the best athletes from Passaic County and Sussex County, New Jersey in the sixth-, seventh- and eighth-grade levels participated in three games.

The youth football programs of Vernon, Ringwood, Sparta, Kittatinny, West Milford, High Point and Wallkill Valley supplied talented athletes.

The players were divided into two teams called the Red All-Stars and the Blue All-Stars.

In the first game the Super PeeWee (sixth grade) Red all-stars defeated the Blue all-stars by the score of 13-7. In the second game the PeeWee (seventh grade) Red all-stars and the Blue all-stars ended the contest in a 6-6 tie. In the third game, the Midgets (eighth grade) the Red all-stars defeated the Blue all-stars, 18-14.
