Recenetly, the House voted on 3 specific bills affecting the elderly and our military and how Scott Garrett voted: 1) High Risk home mortgages: HR1210- To give protection against most lawsuits to providers of risky home mortgages.Garrett: YES. 2) Predatory loans to military- The House defeated a Democratic bid to allow lawsuits against lenders alleged to have made predatory home loans to active duty personnel and veterans. Garrett voted NO. 3) Swindling of seniors- The House defeated a Democratic motion that would deny access to the Federal Reserve's emergency lending window to any financial institution that has been found guilty of swindling seniors. Garrett voted NO. Our Representative says he supports the military and wants to protect our seniors yet his votes say something totally different.
