Church to host musical performances

    St. Gabriel's Church will be one of the venues for the Jefferson Arts Committee's 10th ananual Christmas in the Village event on Saturday, Dec. 5, from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.

    St. Gabriel’s sanctuary will be the setting for live entertainment throughout the day with performances by the White Rock Elementary School Chorus at 10 am under the direction of Jan Courtney, followed by the Jefferson Township High School Madrigal Singers and the Select Choir under the direction of James Wynne at 11 a.m. At noon, the No Strings Acappella Group will

    perform its mixed repertoire of popular, jazz, and classical music under the direction of Pat Autillo, with a performance at 1 p.m. by The Berkshire Valley Presbyterian Choir, under the direction of Roz Lynch. Jazz Pianist Henry Shapiro will perform at 2 p.m. and "Here we Come A ‘Caroling" will close out the day at 3 p.m. All ages and abilities are welcome to join in.

    Admission is free for all performances; and parking is free and available at St. Gabriel’s, Milton United Methodist Church and the Jefferson Township Fire Company No. 1 firehouse — all in easy walking distance within “The Village”.

    The Church kitchen will be selling hot soup, sandwiches, and refreshments; and several vendors will be selling their merchandise including the Jefferson Township High School Band Parents Association offering their beautiful fresh Christmas wreaths for sale.
