Morristown to celebrate holidays

    New Jersey Festival Orchestra presents a holiday pops concert, "Home for the Holidays," featuring performances by MPAC's Teen Performing Arts Company, Sunday, Dec. 6, at 3 pm. Tickets will cost $19-59.

    The program will present popular holiday favorites as well as curiosities to welcome in the holiday season. Traditional carols, holiday brass and a host of signature versions of familiar fare will delight including Mykola Leontovych's atmospheric Carol of the Bells, and Leroy Anderson's Sleigh Ride and Christmas Festival.

    Featured artists from MPAC's Performing Arts School presenting a diverse spectacle of holiday and Broadway classics will charm and remind that its family and friends that make this time of the year so special.

    Classic movie-lovers can also look forward to cherished music from "It's a Wonderful Life", "The Polar Express", "Mame" and more.

    "We believe there is something for everyone in this performance," Maestro David Wroe said. "But above all, our program is a vessel for children, parents, grandparents and friends -- indeed the entire community -- to come together through music and celebrate this unique time of the year."
