Romano golf outing raises $250K

AUGUSTA — The annual Pat Romano Sr. Memorial Golf Outing, which is sponsored by RoNetco Supermarkets, Inc., was a success with more than 350 golfers coming together for a day of golf all while raising $250,000 in critical funds to support The SCARC Foundation.

The funds raised at the outing will help SCARC Inc. and SCARC Guardianship Services, Inc. reach more than 750 people with developmental disabilities in Sussex County. The SCARC family of services is the largest comprehensive organization in Sussex County meeting the needs of this special population. These contributions are integral in maintaining SCARC recreational activities and respite care for people with developmental disabilities, as well as guardianship services and pro se legal advocacy programs provided by SCARC Guardianship Services, Inc. In addition SCARC, provides a countywide network of residential homes and apartments, day employment and activity programs, family support programs & the harvest home food program which is the largest food pantry in Sussex County.
