Hardyston plans Veterans Day celebration

HARDYSTON — Hardyston Township will host a Veterans Day celebration on Nov. 7 at noon.

The council approved the measure after receiving a request from resident Marty Schweighgardt.

Mayor Carl Miller and Schweighgardt will work together to plan the events. The celebration will take place in front of the Veteran’s Monument at the Municipal Complex. They discussed with the council that they would like to have a guest veteran speaker and music.

Miller said that the tradition in Hardyston is to read the veterans' names.
