New outfits, new school supplies and a new superintendent were all present at Ogdensburg Public School’s first day of the 2015-16 school year.

New superintendent David Astor spent his first day with students by speaking to them in small groups. He explained how excited he was to be in Ogdensburg and also expressed his confidence in each and every one of them.

Astor is a resident of Ogdensburg and his own three children graduated from the school. The school community also welcomes new teachers, Ryan Morgan, social studies and computers, Lorraine Poat, art maternity leave, and Elizabeth Hennion, Spanish. Hennion shares her time with the Sussex-Wantage Regional School district District.

Other new additions are Kaitlyn Fierro as the speech and language pathologist and Laura Nasisi as a paraprofessional. Ogdensburg is a pre-K through eighth-grade school and is accepting choice students.
