Sussex Christian plans fall festival

    The Sussex Christian School’s Fall Festival will be held on Saturday, Oct. 3, with events starting at 10 a.m. at the Sussex County Fairgrounds.

    There will be a large craft fair from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., a chicken from 3-7 p.m., and a live auction starting at 6 p.m. During the day, there are many other events including a children's pedal tractor pull, children's games, blood mobile will be present, a health fair, and a performance by Sonrise Mountain Revival Band. Face painting for the kids, a farmers market with local produce, and a baked good store as well. The events will occur rain or shine with many events indoors or covered. Parking is free.

    he Health Fair will provide: Flu shots (free for Medicare and Medicaid and $15 for all others) provided by A&P Vernon; free skin cancer screenings provided by North Jersey Dermatology; weight, height, waist circumference and BMI measurements; blood pressure screening; diabetes risk assessment; heart risk assessment-interactive; education on nutrition and physical activity, including My Plate and Pedometers (while supplies last). Blood Mobile will be available 10:30 am to 4:30 pm to help those in need of blood in our surrounding communities.

    The Fall Festival is to benefit Sussex Christian School in Sussex Borough

    Sussex Christian School provides a strong, academic program for students in grades K-8 in a Christian environment to families in Northern New Jersey as well as neighboring areas of New York and Pennsylvania. The school is a non-profit, inter- denominational Christian School.
