    Donald William Miller, 58 years old, died unexpectedly at Saint Clare’s Hospital, Dover, N.J., on Friday, Aug. 28, 2015. Born to Donald and Allison Miller in Passaic, N.J., he had lived in Clifton and Garfield before moving to Glenwood in 1989.

    Donald worked as a maintenance supervisor for the North Jersey Water District in Wanaque, N.J., for 30 years retiring in 2012. He was an avid fisherman, especially surf fishing at the shore. He was a Giants and Islanders fan and enjoyed working with his hands and tinkering with things. He was a former volunteer Vernon Youth Football Coach.

    Donald was the devoted father of Erik Miller of Hamburg, N.J., Kelly Miller and Allison Miller both at home in Glenwood, N.J. Loving son of Allison Miller of Clifton, N.J. Dear brother of Nancy Hourihan of Clifton, NJ.

    A celebration of life was held at the Breezy Point Inn, 620 Jersey Avenue, Greenwood Lake, N.Y., on Saturday, September 12, 2015 from 1-3 p.m. Cremation was private by Ferguson-Vernon Funeral Home, 241 Route 94, Vernon, NJ.
