Area business awarded Queens school renovation

    DDB Contracting of Newton has been awarded construction of the Riverton Charter School expansion located in Queens.

    The project includes an 18,000-square-foot addition to the existing school facility and is expected to be completed over the course of eight weeks. The property, located in the St. Alvins area of Jamaica, Queens. The project is overseen by Bouma Construction, one of the nation's leading property construction management firms.

    Ed Albanese, owner of DDB, discusses the obstacles the addition poses stating, "time consideration is large factor surrounding this project. We are working to stay on task and on schedule in order to get the school up and running before the start of the new year."
