Free seminar about advertising and PR careers

NEWTON — A free seminar about careers in the dynamic fields of advertising and public relations will be offered to teens and adults on Wednesday, Sept. 23, from 6:30–8 p.m. at Project Self-Sufficiency.

Doreen Julye, Principal Creative Director of Contemporary Media Group, will be joined by Multi-Media Consultant Nancy Scanlan and Atlantic Health Marketing and Public Relations Manager Anna Scalora for a discussion of the background, education and the skills necessary for success in the fields of advertising and public relations.

Questions from the audience will be welcome. “Becoming You: Advertising & Public Relations Careers” will explore vocations such as copy writer, advertising director, account executive, publicist, marketing director, graphic artist, web designer, producer, and more.

The seminar is free and open to teens and adults, but registration is required. Interested participants are encouraged to call 973-940-3500 to register. Project Self-Sufficiency is located at 127 Mill Street in Newton.
