Skylands Stadium to host Sportsman Expo

Skylands Stadium, home of North Jersey’s newest event venue, the Skylands Event Center, and the Sussex County Miners professional baseball team will be holding its second annual Outdoor Recreation & Sportsmen's Expo Oct. 2-4, featuring boats, kayaks, RV’s ATV’s and motorbikes as well as an extensive range of gear for camping, biking, hiking, fishing, hunting and other outdoor fun.

The three-day Outdoor Expo will feature demonstrations from top vendors and delicious food and drinks for the entire family. It will be held Friday through Sunday, Oct. 2-4, rain or shine, at 94 Championship Place, Augusta.

Hours on Friday, Oct. 2 are 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.; Saturday, Oct. 3 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Sunday, Oct. 4 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

“Families are welcome to come, browse and take advantage of late-season deals on an extensive variety of vehicles and equipment for outdoor adventures, such as ATVs, UTVs, RVs, mountain bikes, power boats, canoes, kayaks, tents, hiking boots, hunting equipment and much more,” said Al Dorso, president of Skylands Stadium. “The Outdoor Expo is a unique shopping experience for you and your family, with row after row of dealers offering everything you need to enjoy the great outdoors.”

The Outdoor Recreation & Sportsmen’s Expo will take place on the grounds of Skylands Stadium. Many of the outdoor equipment dealers will be in the stadium’s brand-new 17,000-square-foot Skylands Event Center. Admission to the Expo is $5; children 12-and-under are free. Parking is free all weekend. The Expo will offer plenty of family-friendly fun, affordable food and drink from the stadium concessions, as well as specialty jerky made of wild game.

The new Skylands Event Center, as well as the stadium’s outdoor Pavilion, are available to rent for custom corporate, private, fundraising or community functions.
