Millbrook Days move to September

BUSHKILL — The annual Millbrook Days folk life festival will be held on new weekend this year, announced John J. Donahue, Superintendent of Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area.

This year’s event, celebrating 19th-century rural life, will be held on Saturday, Sept. 19, and Sunday, Sept. 20, at Millbrook Village, N.J., in Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area. The festival will be held, rain or shine, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. Admission is free.

The festival is jointly sponsored by the National Park Service and the Millbrook Village Society.

“Millbrook Village comes alive with the sights, sounds and smells of country life in an earlier time,” said Donahue.

Costumed volunteers and park staff will demonstrate 19th-century trades, crafts, and home and garden chores. Food will be available for purchase.

Free parking and shuttle service are available. The shuttle buses will provide transportation from the Watergate, Turtle Beach and Silvie Meadow parking sites.

Millbrook is located 12 miles north of I-80 on Old Mine Road (Exit 1) in New Jersey.
