Comedian Joel McHale, best known for his role in TV's "Community" and for hosting The Soup on E! Entertainment Television, performs an evening of stand-up at Mayo Performing Arts Center on Saturday, Oct. 3, at 8 p.m.

Tickets are $49-89.
"Community" ran on NBC for five seasons and aired on Yahoo for its sixth season.

McHale most recently starred as Robin Williams' son in "A Merry Friggin' Christmas" and was seen the Jerry Bruckheimer-produced supernatural thriller, "Deliver Us From Evil". He also appeared in the Warner Bros' romantic comedy, "Blended," alongside Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore. His additional film credits include Seth MacFarlane's comedy smash, "Ted", "What's Your Number?", "The Big Year", "Spy Kids: All The Time in The World", and "The Informant".

In addition, McHale continues to satirize pop culture and current events each week on E!'s "The Soup". His quick wit and sharp comedic timing have made the show a pop culture phenomenon and have led to his 2013 spinoff series, "The Soup Investigates". McHale also performs his stand-up act around the country to sold-out audiences.

E! recently picked up an unscripted pop culture comedy show from McHale called "The Comment Section". The unscripted internet-inspired comedy explores the biggest stories of the week and the outrageous comments made about them on social media.

Born in Rome and raised in Seattle, Washington, McHale was a history major at the University of Washington, where he also was a member of their championship football team. He received his master's of fine arts from UW's Actor's Training Program.

McHale lives in Los Angeles with his wife and two sons.
