SPARTA — Kelly Carolan scored two goals, leading Sparta to a 3-1 girls' soccer win over Wallkill Valley on Friday, Sept. 4.

Cayleigh Glew also scored for the Spartans (1-0). Brooke Rossiter, Daniella Montesano and Taylor Nolan all had an assist for Sparta. Julia Flake and Lia Gaccione each made three saves.

Maia Anderson scored for Wallkill Valley (0-1). Katie Bertoa made 25 saves.
