Elizabeth Banta

Elizabeth Banta, 87, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 5, 2015, at the Compassionate Care Hospice at Saint Clare’s Hospital, Dover, N.J. Elizabeth was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. on Dec. 8, 1927, to Andrew and Mary (Remyias) Smith. She was raised in Franklin and was a resident of Hardyston Township for 60 years.

Elizabeth married and raised her family, then became a cafeteria worker for the Wallkill Valley Regional High School for 15 years.

Elizabeth was predeceased by her husband, Charles C. Banta in 2002.

Elizabeth is survived by her children, Robert Banta and his wife Patti, Ronald Banta, Gary Banta and his wife Silvia, Nancy Barbieri, and her husband Andrew, Andrew Banta, and her cherished 8 grandchildren and one great grandson.

Relatives and friends will be received at F. John Ramsey Funeral Home, 1 Main Street, Franklin, N.J., on Friday, Sept. 11, from 9 a.m. to time of services at noon followed by committal interment services at North Hardyston Cemetery.
