VERNON — Saturday was a warm, sunny afternoon to explore Heaven Hill Farm’s new Action Fun Farm. With more than 30 activities and exhibits, there’s something for everyone to explore and enjoy and in some cases use as a farm- and animal-related educational experience.

This weekend, Saturday, Aug. 15 and Sunday, Aug. 16, the farm will also offer their Sweet Corn & Tomato Festival each day from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.

In addition to the fun farm, the weekend will include a corn shucking contest, a corn maize, hay rides, farm animals, music, a corn kernels play box, wine tasting, “corny” foods and earthly delights, corn chowder, roasted sweet corn on the cob, corn dogs and much more.
