Once again the Crystal Springs Golf Resort helped make Father’s Day a special day for the participants in the Parent/Junior Golf Tournament held on Sunday, June 21, at the Cascades Golf Course.

Fathers, daughters, sons, and mothers shared a beautiful day on the golf course as they participated in a two player scramble format competition to determine the best teams in three Divisions; K-4 grade, fifth- through eighth-grade and high school.

The event was followed by an awards ceremony and delicious buffet lunch in the Garden Room of the Crystal Tavern hosted by Event Coordinator Ron Thomson assisted by Stephanie Siglin.

James Rendine won the high school division with a score of 34. Sam Weis won the fifth- through eighth-grade division with a score of 34 and Hazel Chernozky, 5, won the K-4 division with a score of 30. All division winners earned a free round of golf at Black Bear Golf Club, a towel and golf glove.

In K-4, Madison Weiss finished second and Nick Theodorou was third, both with scores of 33.

Prizes were also given for the best junior golfer and parent golfer competing for closest to the pin honors. Junior golfer Sam Weiss landed his tee shot 14 feet from the pin on hole No. 4, winning him a free round of golf at Minerals Golf Club. Parent golfer James Rendine got within 3 feet 11 inches of the cup on hole No. 8 to win a free round of golf at Black Bear Golf Club.
