Live Wire: A Salute to AC/DC will take the highway to the Newton Theatre on Saturday, Aug. 1 at 8 p.m.

Live Wire performs the best of AC/DC from the early roots of the band’s Australian club circuit days, to their worldwide superstar status, including all the biggest hits and fan favorites like "You Shook Me All Night Long," "Highway to Hell," "Back in Black," "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap," "TNT," "Whole Lotta Rosie," "Shoot to Thrill," "Thunderstruck," "Hells Bells" and many more.

Hailing from the New York metro area, Live Wire offers the most complete and authentic reproduction of AC/DC’s sound and stage performance in the world. They deliver the power, energy, image and sound that would be expected at an actual AC/DC concert.

Lead singer Chris Antos unleashes a furious and powerful vocal combination of both Bon Scott and Brian Johnson, giving fans the best of both worlds. The trio of Bills: Rhythm guitarist Bil Voccia, bass guitarist Bill Bowden and drummer Billy Ruff hold down the rhythm section, the driving force behind the AC/DC juggernaut of sheer rock n’ roll power and wall of sound. Last but not least, the ultimate Angus Young clone rounds out the band to deliver the pure essence, power and electricity of an actual AC/DC show.

The historic Newton Theatre, located at 234 Spring Street in Newton.
