    Feb. 10Jeffrey Salazar, 44, of Wantage was pleaded guilty to arson, a third-degree crime.

    Sentencing is scheduled for June 13.

    Salazar admitted to starting a fire within the cab of a 1998 Samsung Excavator that was located on Salazar’s property.

    Feb. 27Dana Villano, 29, of Vernon wa sentenced to five years of Drug Court probation. She must pay total fines and penalties of $280 and submit a DNA sample at her expense. She will be required to pay restitution in an amount to be determined by the court.

    She pleaded guilty on Jan. 12 to burglary and theft, both crimes of the third degree. In pleading guilty, Villano admitted to entering a residence in Vernon on Dec. 4, 2014 without the owner’s permission and taking property from the residence.

    The matter was investigated by Officer Meador of the Vernon Township Police Department.

    March 2Ryan Sheridan, 22, of Hopatcong pleaded guilty to third-degree possession of a controlled dangerous substance.

    Sentencing is scheduled for May 1.

    In pleading guilty, Sheridan admitted to being in possession of heroin when his vehicle was searched during a motor vehicle stop/drug investigation in Hopatcong on April 9, 2014.

    The matter was investigated by Patrolman J. Bianculli of the Hopatcong Borough Police Department.

    Jeremy Vandunk, 43, of Hewitt pleaded guilty to third-degree theft of property mislaid.

    Sentencing is scheduled for May 1.

    In pleading guilty, Vandunk admitted his part in breaking open a safe and sharing the money found in it with several co-defendants on Nov. 5, 2014 in Vernon.

    The matter was investigated by Detective S. Fitzgerald of the Vernon Township Police Department.

    Ian Thompson, 29, of Hamburg pleaded guilty to two counts of third-degree aggravated assault.

    Sentencing is scheduled for May 1.

    In pleading guilty, Thompson admitted to assaulting two staff members at a facility he was housed in on Dec. 8, 2014. The matter was investigated by Patrolman B. Abello of the Hardyston Township Police Department.
