Tri-State Actors to perform 'A Christmas Carol'

Tri-State Actors Theater celebrates its 27th season with its 10th annual presentation of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, adapted by Tri-State’s Artistic Director and Founder, Paul Meacham.

A Christmas Carol runs Dec. 18 through 28 in special guest performances at The Bickford Theatre at the Morris Museum, 6 Normandy Heights Road, Morristown. This holiday classic has been performed for tri-state audiences since 2005.

Meacham’s adaptation joins the contemporary Christmas season with Dickens’ 19th century London. A Christmas Carol is an intimate and warm retelling of Charles Dickens’ most famous Christmas Story.

As well as adapting Dickens’ classic story, Paul Meacham of Matamoras, Pa., will direct A Christmas Carol and play Scrooge. Returning cast members include: Nicholas Wilder of Philadelphia and Tom Walker of Mahwah. New to the acting company this season are Albert Weitz of Sussex, Ashley Kowzun of Kenvil and Melissa Toomey of Montclair. Also, Yumi Matsuura joins the company as the production stage manager.

A Christmas Carol plays Thursday, Dec. 18 through Sunday, Dec. 28. The running time for A Christmas Carol is approximately an hour and a half, with intermission. Appropriate for ages 6 and above. Advance ticket purchases are always recommended. Tri-State/The Bickford Theater offers Group Rates and a special discount for Morris Museum members.
