Winning lottery ticket sold in Sussex Co.

    — Lottery officials have announced that a winning CASH4LIFE ticket was sold in Branchville.

    The winning ticket matched the five white balls to win the second-prize of $1,000 a Week for Life for Thursday's drawing, according to the New Jersey State Lottery.

    The winning numbers were 12, 13, 20, 28 and 45 with the Cash Ball, 04.

    The winning ticket was sold in Sussex County at Hainesville General Store, 283 Rt. 206 South, Branchville.

    The winner has not yet been revealed.

    “Congratulations to the New Jersey Lottery CASH4LIFE second-prize winner and to all of the New Jersey players who won cash prizes,” said Carole Hedinger, New Jersey Lottery Executive Director. “This will definitely be a life-changing win for the ticketholder. I look forward to meeting him or her.”

    This winning ticket is the second New Jersey Lottery CASH4LIFE game winner, according to the New Jersey State Lottery.

    The top prize is $1,000 a day for life, with a current cash value of $7 million and the second prize is $1,000 a week for life, with a cash value of $1 million.

    In addition to the “For Life” prizes, the CASH4LIFE game offers seven other prize levels with prizes ranging from $2.00 to $2,500.

    Hedinger said that 51,926 New Jersey players won $243,748 in cash prizes in the Thursday drawing.

    CASH4LIFE tickets are available exclusively in New Jersey and New York. Players select five numbers from a field of one through 60, and then select a “Cash Ball” from a field of one through four. Ticket sales began on Friday, June 13 and the first drawing was held on June 16 at the New Jersey Lottery’s drawing studio in Lawrenceville, NJ. Drawings are held on Monday and Thursday at approximately 9 p.m.

    The next drawing is Oct. 20.
