Thomas G. Talmadge, 65, died Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2014, at Overlook Hospital in Summit. Mr. Talmadge, son of the late Thomas W. and Frances (Kollbocker) Talmadge was born in Franklin March 21, 1949. Mr. Talmadge had resided in Franklin, then Wantage before moving to Montague 14 years ago.

Mr. Talmadge was a tractor trailer driver having worked for the former Raia Quarry in Hamburg, Hartley Trucking in Landing and M&M Trucking in Montague.

He was predeceased by a sister, Patricia Parkhurst and is survived by his wife, Betty Jane (Babcock) Talmadge; five children, John Aron Talmadge of Orland, Calif., Gladys Frances Talmadge of Franklin, Tammy Lynn Beatty of Montague, Thomas George Talmadge Jr. of Franklin and Christina Marie Talmadge of Dingman’s Ferry, Pa.; sister and brothers, Barbara Babcock of Franklin, Charles Talmadge of Franklin and Harry Talmadge of Dingman’s Ferry, Pa.; 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 30, 2014, at F. John Ramsey Funeral Home, 1 Main St., Franklin. Interment will follow at North Hardyston Cemetery.
