Wrobo Bowl planned in Jefferson

Teams from Jefferson and Wallkill Valley will compete in the Wrobo Bowl on Saturday, Aug. 16.

The eighth-grade trophy game will begin at 7 p.m. at Jefferson Township High School.

The schedule will start at 12:30 p.m. with a fourth-grade scrimmage, a fifth-grade scrimmage at 2 p.m., a sixth-grade game at 3:40 p.m. and a seventh-grade game at 7 p.m. There will be trophy presentations, including awards for a distinguished veteran and distinguished volunteer at 8:30 p.m.

The evening will conclude with a Jefferson Township High School alumni flag game to benefit the Aaron Alonso fund.

The event is to celebrate the life of JTHS alum and Marine Corps. 2nd Lt. John T. Wroblewski.
