    Donald J. Kerwin, 81, died Monday June 30, 2014 at Newton Medical Center.Mr. Kerwin, son of the late Thomas and Elizabeth (Fitzpatrick) Kerwin was born in Brooklyn on Sept. 17, 1932. He had resided in Bloomingdale before moving to Hamburg in 1998.

    Mr. Kerwin had worked for Ramapo Bank and later retired as a bank auditor from Resolution Trust Company in 1994. He was a parishioner of St. Jude The Apostle RC Church in Hamburg.

    Mr. Kerwin proudly served his country with the US Army during the Korean War.

    Mr. Kerwin is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mary (Narissi) Kerwin; daughters, Valerie Kerwin of Hamburg, Victoria Macaluso of Totowa and Christine Van Orman of Washington Twp.; grandchildren, Brenna, Max, Bailey and Isabella as well as his sister Kay McComiskey of Staten Island, N.Y.

    A memorial visitation will be held Sunday July 6, 2014, from 2-4 p.m. at F. John Ramsey Funeral Home, 1 Main St., Franklin. A memorial Mass will be held Monday, July 7, 2014, at 10 a.m. at St. Jude The Apostle RC Church 4-24 Beaver Run Road, Hamburg, with Enichment of cremains to follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery Mausoleum, Franklin.
