  • Student artists from all the schools in the township are shown in the Council Chambers at the Municipal Building. They were introduced to the audience and received an ovation in appreciation for the art work they had accomplished during the school year. Middle School Art Teacher Karen Correia is in the background.




  • Katie Della Terzo, guest artist, describes the art work that she produces in her studio. She is a graduate of Jefferson Township High School,class of 2008. She is also a substitute art teacher in the Middle School.




  • Jessica Arena, guest artist, speaks to the student artists and the audience about how she became an artist and the type of work she produces. She also is a graduate of Jefferson Township High School,class of 2007. She is a substitute art teacher at the Middle School.




  • Kathleen Weir and Renee Simler, both art teachers at the Jefferson Township High School, introduce the student artists. The art work of the student artists was displayed on the walls of the Council Chamber for everyone to see.



The Student Artist Reception sponsored by the Jefferson Arts Committee and the Art Teachers of the School System ended a year of presenting the art work prepared by outstanding art students from all the schools.

Guest artists were Katie Della Terza and Jessica Arena. Both are graduates of Jefferson Township High School and substitute teach on occasion at the Middle School.

Refreshments were served to those who attended by the Jefferson Arts Committee.

The art work was displayed in the Municipal Library each month for seven months. Certificates of Outstanding Achievement and fine arts medals were presented to 57 students.

The next presentation will take place at the Municipal Library on Wednesday, Nov. 12 at 7 p.m.
