  • Photo by Scott Baker The Knights of Columbus Marquette Council presented Franklin resident Sally McGrath with their annual Senior of the Year award at Tuesday night's Borough Council meeting. "Sally has been a true asset to her community," said Marquette Council community director Stephen Marino. He even hinted that her connection to Franklin High School went well beyond her long career. "It has been said that she planted the oak tree on the hilltop which is Franklin High School's alma mater song," he joked. McGrath is active with the Daughters of the American Revolution, Franklin Historical Society and helping area senior citizens.
