RoNetco Supermarkets, operators of ShopRite Supermarkets in Sussex, Morris and Warren counties, was honored recently with the Enduring Spirit Award by Wakefern Food Corporation.

ShopRite has donated more than $29 million to food banks to purchase food for the hungry.

RoNetco Supermarkets, alone, has raised more than $650,000 over the past decade.

“This is attributed to the generosity of our shoppers and the unwavering commitment of our associates," said Dominick J. Romano, vice president and chief operating officer. "We believe in 'giving back' to the communities where our stores are located. What better way than to provide strength to the local organizations who help others with such a basic need as food."
