Three people face drug charges after a traffic stop in Hamburg at 12:45 a.m. on Wednesday.

Driver Christine Peck, 34, of Milford, Pa., was charged with possession of heroin, having drug paraphernalia, having hypodermic syringes and several motor vehicle infractions. She also has an outstanding warrant from the Sussex County Sheriff's Office.

Passengers Shakeel Waller, 31, of Hawley, Pa., and Jessica Iribarren, 26, of Port Jervis, N.Y., were charged with hindering apprehension as they initially provided fake names to Officer Jason Tangorra. Police said Waller also was wanted on a warrant from Union Township.

Police said Peck's vehicle was topped due to an inoperable headlight and a further investigation led to the arrests.

Peck was sent to the Sussex County Jail on the warrant and Waller also was sent to the Sussex County Jail pending transfer to Union County. Iribarren was issued an appearance ticket.

Franklin police assisted in the investigation.
