SPARTA — Dance Expression received its highest award ever, the Excalibur award, at the Dance Xplosion Dancce and Talent comptition at Sussex Technical High School on April 4-6.
Renae Rossi of Vernon won an Excalibur high score in the senior advanced modern solo for "Lament." She also won the first overall in the Miss Senior Dance Xplosion competition.
Also winning Excalibur high scores were the 12-and-younger Rising Star Division winners, "Nice in Nice" in the Junior Large Group Jazz category and "Blessings" won in the Teen Large Group Modern category of the Xcellerated Division.
"Grease" won first place for teen production as a Musical Theatre Jazz Production Number and was a first runner-up for an Excalibur.
