Feb. 20
Charles Collins, 32, of Vernon, was sentenced to 270 days in the Keogh Dwyer Correctional Facility Feb. 20 at the Sussex County Courthouse.
The sentence is to be completed by participation in the home detention program and three years of probation, according to the Sussex County Prosecutor’s Office.
Collins must also pay restitution to the victim. He pleaded guilty on Dec. 10, 2013, to theft, a fourth degree crime.
During an investigation, Collins admitted to smashing a truck window and taking money located inside the vehicle, according to the prosecutor’s office.
March 7
Adam Worley, 24, of Newton, was sentenced to three years of probation and 364 days in the Keogh Dwyer Correctional Facility March 7.
Worley pleaded guilty Dec. 16, 2013, to receiving stolen property, a third degree crime, criminal trespass, a fourth degree crime, theft by unlawful taking, a fourth degree crime, burglary, a third degree crime, theft by unlawful taking, a third degree crime, possession of a controlled dangerous substance, a third degree crime, receiving stolen property, a third degree crime, possession with intent to use or sell hypodermic syringes, a disorderly persons crime, and use of paraphernalia, a disorderly persons offense.
He has received credit for time served.
March 10
Nicholas Brewer, 23, of Belvidere, pleaded guilty March 10 to third-degree burglary and third-degree theft.
Sentencing is scheduled for April 25.
In July, 2013, Brewer broke into the victim’s Frankford home, damaging the door in the process and took stealing approximately $1,500 worth of jewelry, which he then pawned, according to the prosecutor’s office.
Kevin Vandyke, 33, of Newton, pleaded guilty March 10 to two counts of third degree distribution of a controlled dangerous substance.
Sentencing is scheduled for April 25.
Vandyke admitted to distributing heroin on Oct. 1 and 3, 2012, in Newton to an individual cooperating with the Sussex County Gangs, Guns and Narcotics Task Force.
Ryan P. O’Doherty, 22, of Newton, pleaded guilty to resisting arrest by flight, a fourth degree crime.
Sentencing is scheduled for April 25.
O’Doherty admitted that he was the subject of an outstanding warrant and that on Aug. 8, 2013, in the Township of Hampton he fled a police officer who tried to arrest him.
March 14
Christopher Dolan, 37, of Hardyston, was sentenced to three years of probation March 14 at the Sussex County Courthouse.
Dolan pleaded guilty on Jan. 27, to two counts of possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and making terroristic threats, a third degree crime, along with simple assault, a disorderly persons offense.
March 21
David Genese, 38, of Highland Lakes, was sentenced to two years of probation and 65 hours of community service March 21 at the Sussex County Courthouse.
Genese pleaded guilty on Jan. 27, to possession of a controlled dangerous substance, a third degree crime.
Brian Howell, 26, of Hopatcong, was sentenced to five years in state prison March 21 at the Sussex County Courthouse.
Howell must serve 85 percent of sentence. Howell received credit for 694 days served.
He pleaded guilty on Jan. 30, to one count of second-degree robbery related to the robbery of a Quick Check gas station attendant, and one count of second-degree aggravated assault by running over another attendant while fleeing the scene, according to the prosecutor’s office.
The incident was investigated by the Hopatcong Police Department.
Raymond Adams, 34, of Newton, pleaded guilty March 21 to criminal mischief, a fourth degree crime, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, a third degree crime, and possession of a weapon, a fourth degree crime.
Sentencing is scheduled for May 2.
March 24
Justin Hoffer, 25, of Lake Hiawatha, pleaded guilty March 24 to burglary, a third degree crime, criminal mischief, contempt, and stalking, both fourth degree crimes, and theft, a disorderly persons offense.
Sentencing is scheduled for May 23.
