The West Milford 4-H Velveteen’s will be hosting a “Seeds of Faith” seed exchange in conjunction with the Town Library and the Time Bank’s Potluck dinner on Monday March the 25th at Hillcrest from 7- 9pm. The church congregations, as well as all those interested in “borrowing” free seeds are invited to attend this event. We are inviting the public to bring envelopes, pick up some seeds, and plant "one extra" to start a future local "seed bank" at the township library. We hope you learn as a gardener and experience success in your family garden.

If anyone has leftover flower, herb, or vegetable seeds from last year and would like to donate them to the seed exchange, or extra garden supplies such as shovels and hand-tools, etc. they can drop them off either in the box at church or at my home on Macopin Road across from the Highlander Drive.

This is a 4-H project of Murad Yassin of the West Milford VelveTEENS 4-H Club The 4-H club slogan is “Learn by doing”. The 4-H pledge is ”I pledge my head to clearer thinking, my heart to greater loyalty, my hands to larger service and my health to better living for my club, my community, my country and my world.”

It begins with a seed exchange in conjunction with the West Milford Time Bank, a tradition which we began last year and turned out it was the most successful Time Bank meeting to date.

The Public can drop off seeds at the Rutgers Agricultural Experiment Station on Route 23 in Wayne, at the United Methodist Church in Newfoundland, or at the 4-H farm site across Highlander and Macopin Road at 1335 Macopin Road, West Milford.
